INTRODUCTION

Ongna Wood Products, Inc., a family owned company, was established in 1945 and incorporated in 1973. We design, manufacture and deliver specialty wooden boxes, containers, and skids.


STAFFING


Ongna Wood Products, Inc.
was started in 1945 by a Wallace and Harvey Ongna and is currently owned and run by two of Harvey's sons and their wives:


President Phillip Ongna has been with the company since 1963. He does the lumber buying and also works directly with the customer to plan, draw, and quote for the specific product you need to fit. His main objective is to make a quality product and stay as competitive as possible. He most values the relationships built with the customer and wants to deal with honesty, integrity and good communication with all of the customers.


Vice President Scott Ongna stays within the manufacturing of the product as a plant manager. He has been with the company since 1976. He works closely with the employees and over sees that the quality is consistent and gets the product out the door to meet the scheduled delivery. He works very hard at meeting the needs of the customers when schedules change - a common occurrence in today's manufacturing world.


Secretary Mary Ongna takes care of Accounts Receivable, delivery slips, miscellaneous scheduling, and all the details in both Human Relations and Employee Benefits.


Treasurer Bonnie Ongna does Accounts Payable and Payroll.

We are often asked how it goes with family running this plant and we can honestly say it's amazing how each one brings a balanced range of gifts and insights and how well it runs.


Ongna Wood Products, Inc. employs a total of 47 employees, and 35 of them are in production. Our employees are all conscientious and hard working. We do not have a large turnover of employees, but instead a dedicated group of people who seem to enjoy and appreciate working in a small, Christian environment. Employees of Ongna Wood Products, Inc. are not members of any organized labor unions. Our hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Periodically we run a short shift on Saturday to meet customer demands.


FACILITY AND LOCATION


Our plant is located in the heart of Wisconsin's manufacturing triangle being fairly centered between Milwaukee, Green Bay and the Neenah/Menasha Valley. Our manufacturing and office are all located in rural Sheboygan Falls. Our facility covers approximately 80,000 square feet with 90% devoted to manufacturing.


BUSINESS TERRITORIES / MAJOR CUSTOMERS


As a local manufacturer, Ongna Wood Products, Inc. currently serves 90% of customers within a 100-mile radius. We strive to maintain a high level of customer service and quick delivery. A large portion of our client list serves the lawn and garden industry, but not limited to that sector of business.


MEETING EXPORT REGULATIONS


Today's world demands safety requirements when exporting products. We have the capability to dip the finished product in insect repellent to meet standards set by the customer and have done it for military products. We also have a heat treatment unit and are a certified and licensed supplier and have met all the criteria to export your products if it is required. Your product would be stamped and the necessary paperwork supplied for any export items.
